Buyout in rural software

On Friday 30 January Isagri, a privately owned French software company, acquired Landmark Systems Limited. Landmark is a rural business software specialist with significant market share in the UK known widely for its KEY and KEYPrime accounts and property management software products.

Isagri, founded in 1983, specialises in farming and rural business management software and operates in twelve countries with 115,000 users and 1,400 employees worldwide.

Nigel Parsons, MD and founder of Landmark, welcomed the announcement saying: “The synergies between Isagri and Landmark are enormous and the aim of both companies is to work together to continue to provide the first class products and services that our customers are used to.

“Isagri has acquired Landmark to further develop the software products, training and support services offered by Landmark in the UK as well as providing Isagri with a platform from which to enter the English speaking agricultural sector worldwide. For Landmark this transition offers an exciting opportunity to strengthen its position in the market through additional research and development resource and an extended product and service range.”
