Meurig Raymond on his legacy and life after the NFU

As he steps down after four years as NFU president, 14 years as an officeholder and 50 years after attending his first NFU meeting, Meurig Raymond reflects on a life of dedication to the industry.

In an interview with Farm Business, he explains why he believes the turmoil of the past few decades will stand the industry in good stead for whatever Brexit throws at it and reflects on his legacy at the NFU. He also looks forward to a life beyond the NFU and a return to his Pembrokeshire farm – as a tractor driver.
