Kleffmann Group restructures

Due increasing client interest in aggregated market data for global crop protection and seed markets plus the need to evolve in response to the complex clients’ requests, Kleffmann Group has strengthened its’ Consulting Division amis®AgriGlobe®. (Agricultural Marketing Information System).

Dr Bob Fairclough will be the director and team leader for Kleffmann Group’s newly established agricultural input market trend information and consulting unit amis® AgriGlobe®.  In this role he is responsible for leading a team of researchers and data analysts in the development of a comprehensive portfolio of information products designed to address the diverse information needs of the group’s client base. This includes managing the amis® AgriGlobe® database; a mix of data on over 75 countries which correspond to over 95% of the global crop protection market.

Prior to joining the Kleffmann Group, Dr. Fairclough spent over 20 years in the International Business Intelligence and Market Research support industry; most recently with the responsibility of developing AMIS Global. He holds a PhD in Plant Pathology from the University of Glasgow and a BSc in Agricultural Technology from Harper Adams University, England.  Prior to pursuing a career in industry analysis & market research Dr Fairclough was involved in practical agriculture first hand.

One of the two newly created sub-teams, the “Analytical team” will be led by Dr. Puran Mal, who joined Kleffmann Group in 2015 as Data Support Analyst and has gained invaluable experience in analyzing and aggregating global input data. Dr. Puran Mal achieved his PhD in agriculture at the University of Giessen, Germany. Before that he studied Agricultural Economics at CCS Haryana Agricultural University Hisar, India.

The Analytical team now consists of five dedicated analysts, who take care of the well-known AgriGlobe® Database as well as customized desk-research and forecast studies.

The second sub-team, headed by Dr Fairclough, will consist of a number of experts; forming the “Team of Excellence” (ToE).

Dr Fairclough was recently the keynote speaker for the AgriBusiness Global Trade Summit in Las Vegas; where he provided an update on the state of the global crop protection market. As a consequence, he thought that other Kleffmann experts could speak about other important topics and issues; so, he created the idea to develop this sub-team.

The ToE will, among other roles, focus on speeches on different agricultural topics and representing Kleffmann Group at important conferences. Currently the ToE consists of five experts:

  • Bob Fairclough – expert for global crop protection and seed topics
  • Burkhard Kleffmann – expert for global crop protection and seed topics
  • Marcio Farah – expert for the Latin American agricultural markets
  • Björn Neumann – expert for the European agricultural markets with a special focus on seeds
  • David Soorholtz – expert for the North American agricultural markets and with a special focus on Animal Health

“I am sure that with the new structure, we can serve our customers better at an executive level and share our knowledge by representing Kleffman Group at global conferences,” Dr. Fairclough say
