Farm Business took to the water again in June for the 10th year in succession for the annual Charity Regatta. All profits from the event going to the Demelza Children’s hospice and the Not Forgotten association. The event also celebrated the anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo and all yachts sported the Iron Duke logo and there was a challenging quiz based on the battle which was won by Nick Rainsley’s Agrovista crew on board “Apres le Vent”.
Crews competed for the Farm Business charity cup which was won by a crew led by Robert McGowan on board the suitably named “Par Excellence”. Close runners up were Agrovista, who are former winners of the event led by Nick Rainsley whose team also won the practice race earlier in the day. In third place was the Farm Business crew. The Regatta was held in near perfect sailing conditions sailing out of the Hamble and racing was held in the East Solent waters and included a trip to Cowes for a few midday refreshments. All crews agreed it was a great day and plans are already underway for a repeat of the event again in 2016. Teams from across the industry gallantly competed in the close action including Pinstone, Merial, Yara, McCormackmedia and RDP.
