Smart technology conference to inspire agriculture and horticulture

A team of international experts on the application of smart technology is set to inspire delegates at the AHDB Smart Agriculture Conference this September.

Taking place on 8 September 2015 at the ICC Birmingham, the conference will explore the current and potential roles of sensors, nanotechnology, decision support systems and robotics. The event presents an excellent opportunity for scientists, researchers and engineers across multiple disciplines to build relationships and identify potential research and application opportunities within agriculture and horticulture.

AHDB Chairman, Sir Peter Kendall, said: “Smart, high-tech farming is taking off across the world. The UK must be at the forefront of evaluating and adopting the very best techniques to enable the production of more high-quality produce in a sustainable manner. This conference gives us a great opportunity to investigate how new technologies could shape the future of our industry.”
