The Wensleydale Creamery launches Yorkshire Butter

The Wensleydale Creamery, based at Hawes in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, has added Yorkshire Butter to its line-up, which will be hitting store shelves this week.

The famous dairy producer and maker of Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese (PGI) has announced today that its popular Dales Butter will relaunch under the Yorkshire Butter brand name, a move that will bring its butter in line with its wider Yorkshire dairy product portfolio.

Traditionally churned from fresh Yorkshire cream, Yorkshire Butter is wrapped in stylish black foil with the iconic Wensleydale Creamery branding, which firmly underpins its quality values.

David Hartley, Managing Director of The Wensleydale Creamery, explains: “We’re pleased to be relaunching our much-loved Dales Butter under the Yorkshire Butter brand name, a move that we believe further strengthens our proud Yorkshire credentials and heritage and brings the branding in line with our wider portfolio of award-winning dairy products.

“Yorkshire is widely recognised for its quality food and drink and is fast gaining national, and international, appeal. With the resurgence in consumer desire and demand for natural fats, seeing growth of butter sales, we’re pleased to be bringing consumers a butter with a true taste of Yorkshire.”

Yorkshire Butter is available from Asda, Booths, Tesco, Waitrose, Independent retailers and The Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Centre
